6 steps for studying the TEas⠀
It is so important to take this test seriously! Make sure you take the time to study your first time! Schools will have a minimum score that you have to get in order to apply, but you want to aim higher than the minimum. I have been told that a score of 85 and above is competitive. You want to spend at least 6 weeks, if not more, studying for this test. You should spend at least 1-2 weeks (depending on how well you are doing)on each section: Reading, English & Lang Arts, Math, Science.⠀
how I studied:
Resources:
1. Mometrix ATI Teas Secrets with online resources ($21.99 on Amazon)⠀⠀
⠀
2. ATI TEAS Comprehensive Study Package ($249 on ATI)- very expensive, but honestly it was so helpful and worth the investment!⠀⠀
*I used Mometrix first time taking TEAS with minimal studying and got 80 score. Second test date I used ATI, did not end up taking exam because I was accepted at USF*⠀
Step 1: Make a study plan. I planned out how long I was going to study every day and week, what days and times I will study, what I will focus on each day, and how many weeks I was going to study for my test. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Step 2: Take a full length test. I took a timed full length test before I even started studying, just to see where I was at. This way I knew what I needed to work on and can narrow down my studying a bit more. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Step 3: Study! I read through my study manual. I highlighted and took notes on the manual. I broke up each section, so I was reading a little bit each day.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Step 4: I used the online resources by watching videos, doing flashcards, and doing (a lot) of practice questions to reinforce what I read.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Step 5: Take a timed test of the section. If my score wasn’t that good, I would look at what I missed and go over those topics again. Then I would take another practice test.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
(Repeat steps 3-5 for each section of the TEAS)⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Step 6: (Week before the test) Take another full length test. Then go back and review what you got wrong.

GOOD LUCK ON YOUR EXAM!⠀
