pre-requisites
In order to apply to nursing school there are basic courses that you must take called Pre-requisites. It generally takes 2 years to complete, but you can take the courses at your own pace. The classes are pretty similar across the board no matter where you try to go to school, but some requirements may differ based on state and school. For instance, some classes may not be required to apply or a certain level of a course needs to be taken (ex. Gen Chem vs Organic Chem). ⠀⠀
brn requirements
Board for Registered Nurses Certification (BRN) requirements are classes needed in order to get your license after graduation. These classes are usually embedded into your nursing school curriculum, but you can always take them before and transfer the credits to save yourself the stress ➜ I took one of mine at a community college over the summer. ⠀
